Thanksgiving is the one day we’re all allowed to eat like we’re preparing for hibernation.Ā šŸ—

A perfectly roasted Thanksgiving turkey displayed on a round wooden table in the middle of a beautifully decorated Christmas-themed street with wreaths, garlands, lights, and holiday shop displays.
Ever notice how Thanksgiving and entrepreneurship have a lot in common?

But before you dive into that third helping of sweet potato pie, let’s take a moment to celebrate you—the hardworkingĀ entrepreneurs, generousĀ donors, compassionateĀ sponsors, and kindĀ volunteers who make Spark Thomasville’s mission possible<<<

Ever notice how Thanksgiving and entrepreneurship have a lot in common?

  • Both require patienceĀ (turkey takes hours; business success takes years).

  • Both need a solid planĀ (you can’t just throw a frozen 20-pound bird in the oven and hope for the best—just like you can’t launch a business without a strategy).

  • Both are better with a little helpĀ (who’s ever hosted Thanksgiving alone? Exactly. And who builds a business alone? Nobody successful, that’s who).

What We’re Thankful For (Besides Elastic Waistbands) šŸ™

āœ… Our entrepreneurs—because you’re out there every dayĀ turning ā€œnoā€ into ā€œwatch me.ā€

āœ… Our donors—because you’re the reason we can say ā€œyesā€Ā to dreams that banks say ā€œnoā€Ā to.

āœ… Our sponsors—because you don’t just write checks, you show upĀ (and sometimes bring snacks—we see you).

āœ… Our volunteers—because you give your time, talent, and occasionally your sanityĀ to help others win.

This year, we’re especially grateful for all those who became entrepreneurs despite the odds, the naysayers, and that one uncle who still asks, ā€œBut when are you getting a real job?ā€Ā šŸ˜‚

A Thanksgiving Challenge (Because We Can’t Help Ourselves) šŸ†

This year, while you’re gathered around the table, we dare you to:

  1. Ask the entrepreneur in your lifeĀ what their business needs most right now (then actually listen).

  2. Tell one personĀ why you support Spark (bonus points if it’s over pie).

  3. Take a nap—because even hustlers need rest (and turkey comas are sacred).

What’s the one thing YOU’RE most thankful for this year?Ā Hit reply and tell us—we’ll read every one (after our food comas wear off).

P.S. 🦃

If your Thanksgiving feast includes:

  • A dry turkey → Blame the chef, not the bird.

  • A heated political debate → Redirect with: ā€œSooo, who wants to hear about Spark’s latest success story?ā€

  • Leftovers for days → Perfect. Now you have time to volunteer, donate, or mentor!

Happy Thanksgiving from your Spark family!Ā May your gravy be smooth, your pies be flaky, and your 2025 business plans be even sweeterĀ than your grandma’s pecan pie.

P.P.S.Ā Yes, we’re already dreaming about Christmas… but first, pass the mashed potatoes.Ā šŸ„”
