Here in Thomasville, hardworking dreams take flight every day. Today I want to elevate Diangela Ellis' journey. I think she is amazing. After you read her story, I think you will too!

Spark graduate and entrepreneur Diangela Ellis clearly sees a problem that begs for an answer.

Entrepreneur Diangela Ellis shares her vision for transforming childcare staffing during the 2024 Spark Tank, where underestimated entrepreneurs received helpful guidance and support from the Thomasville business community.

“A daycare worker calls in sick, and no one else is available. The daycare director, with no one to turn for help, asks whoever is available to help.”

Diangela explains that “working at a daycare means everyone pitches in when needed, but ‘whoever is available’ - despite their intentions - often lacks the specialized training needed for classroom management.”

“This happens all the time.”

“You can feel the tension in daycares when they are short-staffed,” Diangela explains, her voice carrying the weight of concern.

“You may walk in and see someone from the kitchen trying to manage a classroom of energetic toddlers,” Diangela says with a knowing smile that carries both understanding and hope.

When this happens, everyone loses.

Down the hallway, energetic toddlers sense the change in routine. Finger paintings dry forgotten on bulletin boards while small voices rise in a chorus of needs.

The director knows this isn’t ideal, but without access to trained professionals, these stopgap measures are sometimes necessary to keep the center running for working parents who depend on reliable childcare.

And the daycare risks fines and even being shut down.

This is the challenge that inspired Diangela’s solution through her SUBconscious Educational Placement Agency - ensuring that when emergencies arise in daycare, friendly, qualified professionals are readily available to step in, maintaining both safety and educational standards.

Diangela first stepped into Spark Thomasville’s community under the guidance of her business coaches, Doug Shierling, Earl Williams and Brian Lassetter. Together, they refined her vision for addressing this critical need for childcare staffing.

Through her agency, trained professionals will bring structure and joy to these spaces, creating environments where both children and staff can thrive.

In her classroom of 28 years, Diangela witnesses understanding light up countless youthful faces.

One particular memory stands out: the sound of a struggling student’s voice transforming educational concepts into melodic verses, a creative solution that would later inspire her book, “Charli’s Dream.”

Author and entrepreneur Diangela Ellis shares her message of hope and determination in 'Charli's Dream: A Story of Singing and Believing,' now available on Amazon and major booksellers.

“When we put Charli’s lessons to music, she learned easily.”

Diangela remembers the day she decided she would not be a statistic. She was a young teen.

And she was a mother.

“Statistically, I was a young teenage mother facing certain failure. But I made up my mind I would prove the world wrong. I decided I had to do what I needed to do for my baby.”

Diangela refused to be defined by statistics. She made a promise to herself and her child - they would defy the odds together.

That determination became the foundation for decades of helping others, first as an educator and now as a generous entrepreneur supporting quality childcare through my business.

Today, her story proves that underestimated entrepreneurs can transform challenges into stepping stones for success with fair access to education, coaching, and community support.

Ever the singer and musician, Diangela has put her business message into a memorable rhyme. If you know Diangela, you can imagine her rapping this;

Once upon a time, not long ago, a worker called out of daycare, leaving the infant class out of ratio

The director said my oh my... if the state comes in they'll give us a fine

The owner said no worries, let's get SUBCONSCIOUS educational placement Center on the line

With a monthly subscription, They'll service South Georgia at the drop of a dime…

One call that's all and the workers are trained and on time.

The trained workers will provide excellence, and the kids will have a blast...

All the workers will want to have a sub in their class

The daycare owner yells, you workers are getting in too deep

Mrs. Ellis reassures the services are really cheap

One call that's all when your workers don't show…

Pick up the phone and call 229-487-5980
